CEO OF NYA, MR. SYLVESTER TETTEH GRANTED AUDIENCE TO FRANCIS CHUKS NJOAGUANI, DIRECTOR OF ECOWAS YOUTH & SPORTS DEVELOPMENT CENTRE.

Today Friday 25th October 2019, CEO of NYA, Mr. Sylvester Tetteh granted audience to Francis Chuks Njoaguani, Director of ECOWAS Youth & Sports Development Centre stationed at Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso at his office at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex.

The visit which was for familiarization purposes, also allowed the two officials to discuss issues bothering on capacity building for youth in the sub-region.

Mr. Njoaguani, pledged ECOWAS` support to enable Ghana strengthen youth volunteering and also implored the CEO to fast-track the implementation of the Ghana version of the Youth Entrepreneurship & Mentoring Programme which was expected to be launched in July 2019 but had to be shelved.

For his part, Mr. Tetteh thanked Mr. Njoaguani for the visit and assured him of the Authority`s commitment to the integration agenda of the sub-region.

He said a national steering & implementation committee would soon be set-up to see to the setting up of the ECOWAS Entrepreneurship Programme.

On the issue of mentoring, the two leaders welcomed the Business Plan Competition by ECOWAS where winners will receive grants to enhance their business modules.

Present at the meeting was Rev. Frank Lartey Jnr., Director of Research and Monitoring at the Authority.
