Assistant Information Technology Officer

                                                                        POSITION: ASSISTANT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

PURPOSE: To provide operational support for the management of the Information Technology functions of the Authority

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collects data for the formulation policies

  2. Undertakes the maintenance and repair of IT infrastructure and equipment of the Authority

  3. Provides technical services for the management of the information systems

  4. Installs IT equipment and software of the Authority

  5. Collects data for the development of effective and efficient IT security systems

  6. Collects inputs for the procurement of IT equipment and services

  7. Provides effective user support services in the Authority

  8. Collects data for the preparation of budget and work plan for the Unit

  9. Collects data for the preparation of annual and other periodic reports

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS) and any other relevant field

  2. A relevant industry skill-based certificate(s) would be an added advantage

  3. Must have completed National Service

  4. Be desirous to work outside Accra

  5. Must be computer literate

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge in laws and regulations relating to IT

  • Knowledge of software development and operating system works

  • Knowledge of maintenance and safe keeping of IT equipment and data

  • Knowledge of hardware setup and virus removal

  • High integrity and good ethical standards
