Assistant Procurement Officer

                                                                           POSITION: ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICER

PURPOSE: To provide operational support for the effective and efficient performance of the procurement functions of the Authority

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Collects data for the preparation of the annual procurement plan of the Authority

  2. Collects data for the development of the procurement manual and procedures

  3. Collects data for the development, maintenance, and update of a database of suppliers

  4. Help to facilitate the effective management of the procurement process

  5. Conducts market surveys

  6. Collects data for the preparation of reports on procurement activities

  7. Keep records of stock levels to ensure availability of goods for operational requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management, Purchasing & Supply or any other relevant field from an accredited tertiary institution

  2. Must have completed National Service

  3. Be desirous to work outside Accra

  4. Must be computer literate

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge in Public Procurement and Financial Management laws

  • Knowledge of the practices in the public service

  • High level of integrity

  • Knowledge of relevant IT applications
